Learn-To-Trade.com Inc. (www.Learn-To-Trade.com), Toronto’s leading provider of professional stock market trading courses designed to create successful traders on the financial market, is pleased to announce Tuesday, May 12 and Thursday, May 14 as the next dates for its free two-hour stock market trading workshops.
The first stock market trading workshop to take place in May will occur on Tuesday, May 12 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Learn-To-Trade.com Inc. corporate head office at 885 Don Mills Road, Suite 200 in Toronto. The second free two-hour stock market trading workshop takes place on Thursday, May 14 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Humber College North Campus, located at the corner of Finch Ave. W. and Highway 27.
“With the bull market on the S&P 500 now into its sixth year, investors who have been sitting on the sidelines are looking to start trading again. Just because market sentiment is bullish doesn’t mean it’s easy to pick winning stocks,” says George Karpouzis, co-founder and director of education at Learn-To-Trade.com Inc. “For example, just over 200 companies on the S&P 500 have reported first-quarter earnings and revenues. First-quarter earnings guidance is forecast to be negative, near -2.5%. Earnings aren’t expected to be positive until the fourth quarter of this year.” (Source: “Earnings Insight,” FactSet, April 24, 2015; www.factset.com/websitefiles/PDFs/earningsinsight/earningsinsight_4.24.15.)
As far as earnings per share go, just 47% of S&P 500 firms have reported sales above the average estimate, while 53% have reported actual sales below the mean. If 47% is the final number, that would mark the lowest percentage of companies reporting revenue above estimates since the first quarter of 2013. Overall, analysts are forecasting a year-over-year decline in earnings of -3.6% and a decline in revenues of -4.4%. “This doesn’t mean investors should avoid the stock market; it just means investors need to know how to understand the markets, how they operate, and determine what the best equities or financial instruments are to invest in,” Karpouzis adds. “The best way to do this is to take a stock market trading course taught by professional traders.”
“Those who attend Learn-To-Trade.com Inc.’s free two-hour stock market trading workshop will learn about different investing tools that can help them create, research, and confidently manage their investments. Guests will also learn how using different financial strategies can help them generate consistent, profitable returns, no matter what the broader markets are doing. Finally, they will learn about Learn-To-Trade.com Inc.’s Lifetime Membership, where Members can re-attend any part of the Learn-To-Trade.com program as often as they like,” concludes Karpouzis.
